About this coffee
The name Kotowa comes from the indigenous Ngöbe Indian language, which means "mountains." A "Coffee from the Mountains" that is produced in Boquete by dedicated people in a traditional way. The Kotowa farm, in the hands of its third-generation producer, is owned by the Ricardo Koyner family. The Koyner family moved to Panama from Canada in the late 1900s and established one of the first coffee mills in Panama; it is actually still operational today.
