This is the second fruit of Spyhouse’s relationship with importer JNP Coffee. You may recall the Hafi Natural we had in May of last year. Hafi, which means “close” in Kirundi, is a newer washing station in a remote part of the Muyinga Province. Before its construction in 2021, local farmers had to bring their harvested coffee cherries to the nearest wet mill, 20km away. Still, Hafi is a 6-hour drive from Bujumbura, Burundi’s largest city.
