About Gititu AA About an hour northwest of the capital city of Nairobi lies the Gititu Coffee Factory owned by the small-scale farmers of the Gititu Farmers Cooperative Society. The factory was established back in 1971, so they’re no strangers to the coffee processing  game. About 3,000 members (one of the biggest co-ops in the country) contribute their cherries to this factory.
